Documentary for Military Unit (Director/Writer): The money raised from book sales will be used to fund travel to visit those who served in the unit and document their stores as the deployment was unique for all of us. Everything online about 5/2 is negative, but that was a tiny portion of what occurred. What happened during that deployment were mostly actions of brave young men putting their lives on the line and thrusting themselves into harm’s way to help and save each other.
Correction of 5/2 Service Records (Advocate): Since learning about the problem in 2016, Ricardo has reached out to many different people seeking help with correcting the service records of the men he served with. A lot of men who were hurt overseas were never awarded their Purple Hearts, and many of them didn’t receive the more common things like the CIB (Combat Infantry Badge).
